```TINA - The Tina Turner Musical Kansas City reviews
Energetic and enjoyable
Knowing the story/history of Tina Turner from reading her book "I Tina," seeing the movie version, etc., I wasn't surprised by the details of the play. Tina's life is so full of ups, downs, and overcoming odds that it's pretty hard to capture everything about her in a single play. So, I would advise anyone seeing the play to read her book, look her interviews, or look at the movie or documentary of her life better enjoy the play. I have two "minor critiques" about the play: (1) Except for the ending stage prop, the other stage props could have been a little better, and (2) As known, Tina has quite a unique voice that's "almost inimitable," thus, on a couple of songs,"Zurin V" may have tried a little to hard to imitate Tina's voice, which made the songs sound " a little mockingly," rather than complimentary. But, overall I give her cudos....she did a good job singing and acting ,as did the full cast. we enjoyed the play from start to finish.
